Default Hello from SW US

Hello Scion Folks. I'm here to seek knowledge and help to choose a new long distance commuter when the time comes. I currently drive a 2003 Nissan Sentra Spec V and love it. I drive 200 miles to work, stay four days, then return home. My vehicle has to have Japanese build quality, reliability, durability, and gas milage. Also it needs to be offered with a real (manuel) transmission. My Spec V is coming on 170,000 miles and I hope to get another two years out of it so I can pass it on to my son. But I just had to put 2000.00 dollars out for some repairs and I'm trying to get a short list so if it dies next week I'll know what I want to replace it. Currently the Scion tC has me interested so I'll take my questions there. Thanks.
