Hopeful xB Owner
Hello, everybody!
I have been obsessed with the 1st-gen xB for...well...under a week.
We decided to trade my car for another (newer and hopefully lower-mile) car. While out and about browsing the nearby lots, I found an xB.
Now, let me tell you, my current personal car (and only my 2nd car) has been a Dodge Neon since high school. I bought it used nearly 10 years ago. I'm also 6'9" tall. How do I fit in a Neon? Well, I'm used to it. It's actually not too bad, and we've made several long trips in it.
Now, however, the car is at the point where it's going to need some major work soon, and we have a kid (car seat in the back? It works, but not too well, when I have my seat all the way back and leaning). Enter the xB.
We checked out an 06, and we were astonished at how much bigger it seems inside than out. I could actually have my seat all the way back and have room for the baby seat. Or a 5'9" man behind the driver with a few inches of legroom to spare.
Anyway, it would've been a good deal, but we didn't know HOW good of a deal until it had sold. Now, I'm trying to find another first-gen. The second-gen just doesn't work for me. The changes they made just aren't my thing (and they result in less useful room for me).
So, anyway, here I am. In northern Indiana/eastern Chicagoland, seeking automotive bliss in the boxy form of the elusive xB.
