New here, in So Cal, 06 Xa..
Hello SL!!!
I'm not new to forums or vehicles, I modify everything I own (cars, vacuum, tools, appliances, electronics, everything really). I enjoy being on the move, I bike around town and hit up some trails on occasion, hike, shoot pool, drink beer, and just find new things to do, I like to eat out and will try just about anything.
My DD is a 98 Saturn SL2 auto 35/43mpg city/hwy only mod is a homemade HAI and playing around with different plugs/gap and other changes to find the sweet spot. She made it from San Diego CA to MN and back in the July heat, 6k miles in 2.5 weeks, without a single issue. I have loaded her up with all my camping gear, i mean the rear was bottoming out on small bumps, and still got 34mpg going up into the mountains....
My WW is a 99 SVT Lightning built LB/trans full custom 3'' H pipe exhaust, Drag radials on the rear, pullied up to 17#'s of boost and other various mods most of which I've done myself including pulling the motor, 470hp 580tq to the wheels, best of 12.3@109 and 12.4@110.... Still gets 18mpg on the hwy, 6-10 city depending how much I use the loud pedal...
Anyway, my gf has a 06 Xa and it is time for a tune up, and to save my time and $$ I'm here to see what 'cheap' and effective mods are best for mpgs and maintain it's DD ability. Also she lost a hub cap on the hwy and she wants to find a match.
I'll search and post up in the proper forums, but if you have any links to help me find things quicker that would be awesome.
I've driven her car a few times and I do like it, it wont be as cost effective as my SL2, but wouldn't mind one.
Thanks,
Ryan
