Julie here. I have a 2006 xB w/o any add-ons that I bought new and have since put 106,000 miles on it. Original everything but brake pads, tires, and exhaust from below the O2 sensor downstream and the gasket. DIY oil changes every 5,000 miles w/Mobil "high mileage" oil and Fram "superguard" filters. Self-proclaimed leadfoot. I'm lucky if I get 30 miles/gallon and I always use 87%. I have a Yakima rack system with its factory fairing.

I think that's enough detail for my introduction.

I will be asking technical questions not allowed here as soon as I find more information about my problem. I have read some threads that may be helpful, but I joined for the privilege of posting.

I look forward to the feedback I will await.

Thanks for the welcome. I posted my inquiries under the appropriate subforum.

I'm proud of not getting any upgrades that raised the price of the car, which also happens to be white. Hence the vanilla ice cream, which I'll be glad to direct you to if you're ever in the MA/NH state line area.
