Hello everyone, as the title states I'm working on purchasing a 16 tC, once I close on my house which will be in the next few weeks. Yes I know they're discontinued, but I really have liked the new body style.
Should there be anything I need to know about these cars, are they expensive to maintain? Are there numerous aftermarket parts for these cars? Besides what TRD offers.

Also, are there any recalls I need to be aware of? Just so everyone knows I'm coming to a tC from a Chevy Cobalt SS. Hopefully everyone here is a lot more friendlier and more helpful than on the Cobalt forum.

I'll keep everyone up-to-date on when I get it and post up pics once I get keys in hand.

Always glad to see another future tC2.5 Owner.

I would say it is relatively inexpensive to maintain
and there is the Toyota reliability. Enough aftermarket
parts to satisfy the junkie. No current recalls to be worry about.

I have owned a 56' Chevy and a 68' S/S Camaro.

Just wanted to update everyone by saying yesterday I purchased my new 16 TC in Magnetic Gray. As soon as the weekend rolls around I'll snap some pics and post them. Today I ordered at least the TRD air filter for now till I can save up and buy the intake.

 

Sorry it has taken me so long, was getting moved into and situated into my new house. Finally got around to getting a few pics of my car uploaded. Since the pics were taken, I got the windows tinted.

Congrats on your purchase - you've made a great choice. Make sure to show it to us, when you have a chance. Got any more plans for it?

 

I've uploaded a few pics in my garage. So far, all I've done is bought a TRD air filter.


My future plans are a strut brace, upgraded brakes, air intake, axle back exhaust, and sway bars.
