Default Worth trading in tC for a IS250?

Anyone think its worth trading in a 2006 tC for the IS250? If I do, I would finance the rest.

I would certainly do that. I planned on getting the IS250 with Navi+ML. But for $4-5k more you get the IS350. I'm still debating

both are nice. I wish I could have found a is300 in manual when they were still being made.

Good luck...thats a hard decision.

Wow, I'm on the same page as you. I was thinking about trading in my 2005 tC and lease a IS 250. the monthly payments would come out to be about the same as I pay now for the tC. The dealership was going to offer 13k for my car, but I know I can get more.

We'll see.

IS250 automatic is realatively slow, however extremely fun to drive.... it's a very nimble car. Our dealership has yet to get in one with the 6speed manual yet, so I can't give you a review on that....

But there's a night and day difference between the 250 and the 350 as far as their speed goes.... the 250 accelleration is mediocre (my 5speed civic can keep up just fine)... the 350's accelleration is freakin' awesome!.... better that most of the vehicles with the 4.3liter V8 even! .... the handling in the corners is about the same though.

I would trade it straight up for it but we all know that is impoosible. For now, I'd rather keep my tC. Can't afford payments and insurance on a car like the IS350...lucky for some people and their rich parents...

Go drive one and talk to the finance mgr. If you have the cash, I say go for the IS!! I am sure you are going to lose $$ on the Scion though.

What about paying off the tC in four years? Keep it for personal enjoyment even if it has 250k miles? Then walk into Lexus dealer with $5k and have TFS/LFS finance since you had the tC finance through them. Buy a IS 250 or 350 (depending on my yearly raises, if I'm paying 1,200 range house payment I have to make on my own? Or if I'm married? With a child?)
That's my plan.

Cause I'll be 29-30 years old by then.

I know I'll buy IS 250 for sure. By then the used values should be 18-22 grand; I just don't know if I'm going with new or used. Depending on those huge life changing events?

I'm in the same predicament right now. i was originally just settling for a 250 but now am comparing the 350 and G37. i love my tc but its time for an upgrade.

what really stops me from gtting the IS is that i'm worried the body style will change soon since this style has been around for some time. this year they did change a few thngs inside and out but its nothing dramatic. does anyone have any idea when we can expect a redesigned IS? BMW, , audi, mercedes and infiniti all changed up their entry models within the past two years. this model IS is now 4 years old.

I know lxus jus put out the IS coupe/convertible withthe same bdy stye but i gotta figure its only a matter of time.

what kind of question is that? i'd do a trade in a heartbeat. i went to lexus the other day with my mom, but i wanted a gs300. i looked at the is250, and its flawless. however i just wanted a gs300.
