there are a couple of ways...one way is to use goo gone. another way is to buy a can of computer duster cleaner (basically compressed air) and turn it upside down and shoot it at the gum. it will freeze the gum solid and you can chip it out easily

The compressed air is the best way I've used. Be careful when using it to keep fingers, eyes, small mammals away when spraying it upside down. It can cause a _____ of a frost burn .

same effect as the compressed air, but a little more wet. Maybe dry ice would work

I've done the same thing with liquid nitrogen, but that isn't as available as the "duster in a can" stuff.

If you don't want to play with cryogenics, get some clean sand, wet it, put it on the gum, and then rub the gum back and forth. It will stick to the moist sand better than the moist carpet. Keep working at it and it will come out. Vacuum up the remaining sand and let dry.

The appropriate consequence for the [insert blue word] gum chewer will be left as an exercise for the reader.

yea man

it's depressing at times.

do you remember the church incident? lol. sucks.

hopefully things will start looking up and i'll have women stuck in the rear instead of gum.

i'll try the compressed air (i'll take some from my work if i remember)

wd40 was reccommended but im not sure if that will harm the fabric or not.

does goof-off work well also? cause i already have some of that.

thanks for the concern lvxb. i need to go to vegas!
