Default Abysmal MPG

I've got about 600 on my (auto) XB. I can't do more than 240 miles between fill ups, is this within range? How avout others here?

make sure you're calculating your mileage correcting before you jump to conclusions - solid numbers work great. The next time your at the gas station, fill the car up, but do not top off. REset your trip odometer. The next time you fill up, record how many gallons you put into your gas tank - again, do not top off - and record your trip odometer reading.

Divide the trip odometer reading by how many gallons you put in and you'll have your TRUE MPG.

I've been averaging about 30 mpg but I'm mostly doing highway miles at a top speed of 80 or better. Have you been gunning it lately or just the regular bumper to bumper crap we New Yorkers have to deal with (ie: Long Island Expressway).
