Default Advice please on how to wax and/or protect exterior

I've had my tC for 2 weeks now.

i was thinking about waxing the car so to help perserve it's beauty. yes, i'm in love with my car.

anyway, anybody have any advice on waxing or other form of keeping the paint fresh, or any tips in general?


Also, with waxing, any products you guys recommend? a friend of mine who owns a garage suggested Meguiar...

That's why I'm here.

Personally every once in a while I just hand wash mine with some Meguiar's NXT car wash and then a couple coats of Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. But I'm not completely **** about detailing... so I think that's probably the simple way.

Annnnd you can't do a couple of coats of cleaner wax. Two coats is good but only to ensure even coverage as, using a cleaner wax, would strip the layer of wax underneath.

There's even question about waxes can even layer but that's a different discussion entirely...
