So I just put some alcohol on the back of my trunk because apparently the instructions I got from my M3 spoiler says that or grease remover. I put it on and nothing bad happens but I was wondering on the long term does the polar compound, alcohol, have any deleterious effects on my car paint. I hope not

 

Nope. At worst it will remove some wax.

 

ok good I think thats what the instruction meant for anyways so the adhesive 3m stickers can get all the grips.

 

just as long its not acetone or brake fluid or any other harsh chemicals your good to go

 

yep just removes the wax for better adhesion for the tape =)
