Default Any problems with the 3 free oil changes?

Anyone have problems w/dealerships not honoring 3 free oil changes because the car wasn't bought from them?

And if so who did you contact to resolve the issue?

Im thinking its one of the 1-800 numbers listed in the manual.

Are we responsible for disposal fees, labor, etc?

Please post your past experiences, thank you

No problems with my 3. Since they are provided by Scion and not the dealer they should be honored.

Moved...

Did you have problems, or are you just worried?

I just had my first free oil change done this past weekend and It didn't cost me a dime. They even washed and vaccumed my car for me as well. Special thanks to Mark for having them do that for me....

I had a huge problem and got completely ripped off by Bay Ridge Toyota.

I'm still dealing with Scion Corporate to get it resolved, but in a nutshell I did not buy my xB there and they charged me and refused to go by the Scion Schedule.

took mine car in two days ago for first oil change but not at the dealer where i got my car...the guy was nice, i didn't even have my license plate he asked how long i've had it and if i am sure i want to change oil at 1900 miles...everything was FREE (no disposable fee, and free car wash)...all i had to do was to go to the cashier and get my receipt...

i've had my first 2 at two dealerships (neither which i purchased my xB from) and had no problem. i'm gonna do the next one myself, with help from a friend (never done anything like this) and save the last free one for the winter.

Shouldn't be any problem, shouldn't be any charges, unless they do more than oil and filter change, then there may be.

My first one last week was zero cost to me. Since the dealer normally, on a paid-for oil change, checks other fluids, belts, and does a simple hand wash, they did that on mine, too, for free. They of course used the correct Toyota filter.

As an added bonus they used Castrol Syntec 5W-30 at no charge.

Some dealers treat customers better than others, it seems.

No probs, even though I bought it somewhwere else. Of course it makes them happy that I supply my own oil.

There shouldn't be any problems!!

The service department gets reimbursed for their time by
Scion Corporate!

They were just trying to screw you me thinks.
