Yeah but anyone tru it with the a/c on? then it would prob overheat. This has been a great concern for me, seeing how big the radiator is. Then again my old car ( ford festia 1989) did overheat alot with the a/c on

Ford Festiva = KIA

Houston traffic here, with AC on and no overheating!

MUCH MUCH better upgrade than the KIA, congrats on your chioce... and I wouldn't expect most of the same probs your festiva had when thinking about the scion... despite the fact that both are sub-compacts. Technology has evolved, thankfully.

Just a thought. Does the warning light trigger with low coolant as well as an overheat? It may be that the uphill grade causes the coolant level at the sensor to lower enough to trigger the light. (My current car does this.)

yeah it probally could, how many miles are on your car . If i were u i would check my cooland level. The Best way to do so is to park your car on the Flattest ground possible so that it gives u an accurate reading.

Hope this helps
