Default Attn:autobody experts......paint question

I have to have a dent fixed on myr rear quarter panel and the paint job is going to require blending.

Apparently the shop is going to blend the paint from the door to the bumper for a 1 foot size minor dent,.

I am using a reputable shop and am just wondering how obvious the results of this technique will be. Upon close inspection will one be able to see all of the blending or is this a fairly easy procedure that can be done to simulate the OEM finsih perfectly?

IF the shop is known for "good" work, I would not sweat it. I had a small dent on the driver's side of my hood (from a kid who ran into it on a bike). The body shop pulled out the dent (no bondo!) and blended the area they fixed with paint. they then re-clear coated the entire hood.

My xB is TCM, and I honestly cannot spot where the fix was! they also had to repaint my drivers' side fender.

I would stress to the body shop when you drop it off that you are extreamly **** when it comes to your car, and if thier repair is not perfect (meaning you cant tell what they did)- that you will brink it back untill it is done right!
