Default auto trans fluid

I m not sure if its too late to change the auto trans fluid. I know if u go too long w/o changin, its not a good idea to change it. I have about 56k on the clock and not sure if its ever been changed since I bought it used and dont know if the previous owner did it. So am I too late?

Where did you get that? It is never too late to change fluids. If it was supposed to be changed at 30k would you now just let it go on forever? Of course not.

Not flaming you. I just don't know where these myths come from.
