Default Automatic shift handle...keep bumping O/D switch

This is the only fault that I have with the XB is that my right leg rests against the automatic shift a lot when driving for any long period of time. Eventually, I hit the OD off switch. It sucks doing that on the highway when I'm doing 80. Other than shuttin my legs, is there anyway to disable this? Or perhaps bring it to a shop where they will shorten the whole thing.... I don't want to loose my tranny!

Another option, if you don't want do deal with the wiring, is to do what we did with ours...the switch is just an electronic actuator, so if it is "held in", the O/D stays in the state that just pushing the button would put it in. All we did was to turn off the O/D, then press in the button to turn it on, and with the button still held in, used one of the velcro style "cable holders" (like you use for gathering up computer cables) to hold the button in place. Voila...no more O/D turning off.
