Default Best Wax? Polish?

I have a black Tc and I am looking to get that "wet" shine.

I am looking for something that is easy to use, reasonably priced, and won't fade quickly.

What works best for YOU?

Default zaino

Someone said Zaino works the best. But there are SOOO many different products to choose from on their website. I can't afford an entire line of products... HELP!

order a bottle of Z-2 if it's only wax you're loking for. if you want their car wash, Z-7. if you have scratches, or for when scratches develop, Z-5. Z-6 if you want a spray detailer for in between waxes. i've found that, next to Zaino, Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax is probably your next best bet. also, you could try a caraunuba wax, but they don't last very long. if you're looking for durability, definitely go with a synthetic like Zaino.

This topic is always subject to debate. My tC is Azure Pearl, so I use Zymol, but before I wax, I use Paint Cleaning Clay from Griot's Garage. Three coats later, I have the "wet" look. I have never used Zaino, but I hear good things about it.

Default zfx

Zaino claims you need to use this ZFX stuff? (mixing it with the liquid wax)

Anyone use it? Does it work better... is it worth the extra $20?

I use Maguire's Gold Class Car Wax. When I am going for the extra shine, I use a Maguire's Clay Bar before that to get everything off the paint. After one or two coats of the Gold Class, my car looks great.

I would NEVER use napkins on my car anywhere. Of course, I have painted rims, but still...the only thing that touches the exterior of my car is microfiber. Napkins are very fiberous and can scratch stuff very easily. Stick with microfiber.

depends on how much time you have to let the wax dry before taking it off. all the ZFX is (and the Z-1 for that matter) is a cure accelerator. it just speeds up drying time.

I use all Adam's products.

I have a friend that is the detailing manager at a high end luxury car dealership (think ferrari and stuff....yes...he drives them on an everyday basis and test drives possible buyers bc he's gone to driving school).

I took him to a show with Scion Evolution and he helped me detail the car and said everything that I used was better than what they used. From the tire detail to the included microfiber cloths. I know they're mentioned alot on these forums. Bust a search! (I don't think it's going to give you that "wet" look though :\)

all i know is carnuba wax should give you that wet look shine and helps protect your paint from uv rays, oxidation, acid build up and dirt. you can use it as often as you can cause its not abrasive...if your car is at least 1 yr old you should detail it... i use the 3 steps process of meguire, it works for me... 1st the paint cleaner wax, removes a very thin layer of the topcoat, 2nd polish wax, remove the swirl marks , then lastly, carnuba wax...

I use Shinning Monkey D-Spec Carnuba. Great stuff. It really makes it shine, and it doesn't leave as much of that white residue that alot of wax does.
