Black Shoe Polish works!!!!!
I was transporting a heavy drill press in my trunk area the other day in my XB. I guess it was rubbing on the plastic cover over the rear shocks. The rubbing took off the black finish on the plastic in a couple of spots. I don't think this would have happened on any of the other cars I owned -because it appears the material had a real cheap finish. The white marks bothered me, so I wiped on black shoe polish and buffed. Unbelievably, the marks disappeared. This was the first time I ever used black shoe polish for a car repair. Anyone else have suggestions to keep the interior looking good?
