Bugs and paint dont mix
It looks like the paint is smeared by the bug, people on here talk all the time about how soft the paint is, my girl has an 05 and yes she has paint chips, but no smears like mine did. I think that rubbing compound wouldnt go good on the FM. I am going to the dealership tomorrow to fight a lost cause.
WAX DOES NOT REMOVE DAMAGE TO PAINT!
WAX IS A PROTECTIVE LAYER THAT HELPS KEEP
DAMAGE FROM HAPPENING TO YOUR PAINT!
OK, I'm done yelling.
Maybe someday somebody will listen to me and stop saying
stupid things like they used cabana wax to remove damage
to paint.

i had this massive bug splats all over my car and massive bird droppings that i left int he hot sun for like1 week. when i decided to wash my car, it had already etch and stained my paint. i was ferious. not only was it hard to rub off, but it left an aftermark. i decided to go to autozone and grab the only bug remover spray they had. it's called "turtle..." something. yea helps a lot huh? but once i got back, i used it and NOTHING happened. boy was i ferious now??!? so i went and return it and they said that a lil wax would make that come off. i was like "whatever....". they almost didn't let me return the product. well 2 days later, i went back and checked on it, and what do you know. it disappeared like it was never there before!!! not a single evidence!!!! so try using some bug remover spray called "turtle....."
Heres what I do.
If the bugs are really bad, and I know that a simp;e wash wont get the bugs off, I hit the bugs with some WD-40 (it will not hurt your paint) before washing. Anything left gets rubbed out with the clay bar.
You dont want to "wax" bugs off your car. Wax is only for protection, and should be the last step. You want to remove any nasties before you apply wax.
