I've thought about this for awhile, and with Scion being technology based, you would think that they would make the manuals available for download. The cost of $200+ for a "printed" manual is rediculous! I would assume that the manual was created with a computer and that saving the data in a .pdf format has already been done to publish the manuals.

Perhaps we should start a poll on this.

I'm sure that virtually everyone would rather search a computer document for the data needed and print just those pages.

DON'T LET THIS THREAD DIE!!!!

Or if you know how to use newsgroups to get stuff ,I can post the XB stuff to a newsgroup.
Thanks
doh, I didn't read the full subject line.
Take caution if you plan on transfering the manuals to .pdf because I think Toyota/Scion probably has a "copyright" on these manuals.
If the manuals are made available in any other format, I think only Toyota/Scion can do this.

just my .02

The manuals can be downloaded from the following website:

http://techinfo.toyota.com

It does require a fee for use.
10 dollars a day or 50 dollars a month.
They also have a yearly fee of 350.
If you do join for 1 day make sure you join in the morning and download as much as you can before midnight of that day.
All accounts expire at midnight.
I was able to download the entire manuals, TSB and accessory instructions in less than 2 hours.
With this site you can download any manual for Lexus, Toyota and Scion for only 10 dollars.
If you know how to get binaries from newsgroups PM me and I will tell you which newsgroup that I have seen the posting the xB manuals
Sorry for the teaser I didn’t have the link at work, I had to wait until I got home.

THANKS. :D

There's a LOT of clicking involved as the manuals are split up into subsections of 1-5 pages each so plan on spending some quality time with your computer. But it sure beats $200+ for the full set of manuals.

Im combining them into one PDF as I go 10 groups at a time but im about half way done with the manual and im at 693 pages.. its ALOT of clicking..do be prepaird..and the time is Pacific standard time on that 12:00 cut off..which gives us east coasters and extra 3 hours..
