Default Freakin' cat....bad kitty!

3 things that suck.

1) Going into the garage and seeing that the cat snuck in the garage and their are remains of kitty hair on your freshly washed tC.

2) Seeing that the cat has also left you a gift, muddy footprints.

AND THE CLENCHER

3) Seeing that the cats paws have left 3 and 4 inch long slide mark scratches in the clearcoat from it's paws. Errrrrrrr. Damn kitty.

Andrew, I can sure relate to your post about the bad kitty! My next door neighbor has SEVEN bad kittys that love to use my xA as their personal sofa to lounge on while I'm sleeping! Every morning I would go out to my car to go to work, and two or three of them would be spread out napping on the roof of my xA. As soon as they saw me come out of the house they would scratch off, jump off the roof, and back to their yard. I too had scratches in the clearcoat, paw prints everywhere, and cat hair all over the roof! My neighbor is a nice lady, but oblivious to things like this,so I knew I would be the one who would have to figure out a solution. I have a carport I park under that protects my xA from the weather, but not the cats. I decided the only solution that would protect my car and keep the peace was to cover my car at night with a high quality Dupont car cover. The cats still lay on my car, but at least the cover keeps my car clean and the paint protected. If anyone knows how to keep the cats away from my car without harming them, please let me know!!!!!!

Why not spray your cover with a spray designed to repel animals. They usually sell it in pet stores.

Or you can leave sticky pads in front of your car, but you didn't hear it from me.

I thought my cat situation was annoying but dang! Maybe we should both look into the repellent and the sticky pads....heh heh. Luckily yesterday I was able to pretty much take out the scratches since they were very shallow. More like scuffs I suppose. My hood has been taking a beating though....thinking about getting it amour plated.......no more freeway debris!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I did try the animal repellant, but the BIONIC KITTYS totally ignored it! I do however have two Jack Russell Terriers that hate cats; maybe if I tie one to the front bumper and one to the back at night........

You just better hope the cats don't sneak by the dogs and onto the hood, then the dog in front follows it. Ouch, that would be a nasty sight.

Eww I hate cats. I park my xB @ my gma's and there's cats around, I wonder if they like to climb on it. Hmm.

Ok, I was washing my car and came up with an idea! Get your super soaker (you have one, right?) and fill it up with COLD water. Then, everytime the cats jump on your car, get them!

Eventually that should train them away from your car. You have to make sure to keep up with it though.

That is NOTHING. Try this -- my little woman and I had the toaster for just under 7 months. My cat was eaten by a local coyote so we decided to go to the local animal society to pickup a new fancy feline.

We find this giant fat cat (30lbs) fat as all hell, happy as can be, but FAT. Untrusting, abused, but loving when we gave her time. Hell she was the only one who was awake when we went to the place anyway -- plus she barely fit in the cage.

So -- we decide to take her home. She doesn't fit in the box they give us so we end up getting a cardboard box from the restaurant next door. The kitty is chillin, then 10 mins into the ride she urinates in the box.. then she starts sliding around sloshing it all over the inside of the car. I'm trying to get home as fast as I can while taking care in the corners so my girl and I dont get covered in ____ -- but suffice to say it got everywhere.

Inside of the windshield, the dash, all over the shifter, all over the rug on me on my woman on my face on our clothes on the seats. And the smell.. good lord, it was the WORST smelling warm cat ____ smell ever.

So yeah I think I got one up on the scratches -- on humid days you can still smell it. But I love fattius. She is the ____.

Ha, My $900 kaminari carbon fiber hood now has kitty claw marks all over it from when I left the car out of the garage for freaking 1 day. Looks like the fat cat could not grip on the fresh wax and slid all the way down about 4 times scratching the crap out of it... Now I have to wetsand it all down and buff it. I am TICKED.... Time to call the local chitty wok chop sucky buffet.... cat is on order for din din tonight.
