Default Gear Oil Change

I am wanting to change the manual transmission fluid in my 06 tc. Now, ive heard that gear oil is what i need to put in it, but ive seen manual transmission fluid. I was going to go with royal purple 75w90 gear oil. Is this what i should use I've also heard to use redline mt-90 oil. Is gear oil what i should put in my transmission?

Almost started to round it off trying to use a pair of pliers then a Cresent wrench. Good luck man.... Haha maybe I'm just retarded
