neither remover scratches... merely fill them.

If you want to remove scratches you will need a buffing compound.

Like the one I told you about dummy!! The stuff they used on my tc at the dealer when I accidentely parked under that tree! And accidentely forgot to clean my hood to get rid of those berries... or maybe more like i was too lazy.. who knows!? They used a bunch of stuff at the service dept. to try and help me remove it. Too bad you couldnt remove it.. cause it wasnt a scratch. But the guy said that they use Rubbing Compound on all the used cars that come in, and thats the best thing that works for scratches! Remember!? You dont listen to me, do you? LoL.. hee hee jas kidding... dont know how I ran into this post.. Bye!

where do you guys get the idea that Scratch X by Meguairs FILLS scratches? It doesn't.. It's a light rubbing compound for clearcoat.. buffs off scratches by buffing the clearcoat layer.. and yes it does work!! I've been using it for awhile now, was using the clearcoat scratch remover before Scratch X came out.. that old one worked a little better, but Scratch X works great! if Scratch X doesn't remove the scratch.. you're probably going to have to use a stronger (more aggressive) rubbing compound.. and if that doesn't work.. talk to a body shop!

yeah maybe because Scratch X is for scratches in the CLEARCOAT like it says on it's packaging.. if you have a deep scratch it's OBVIOUS you need a rubbing compound! so yeah maybe it sucks cuz people can't read?
