Default Help with "Maintance Request"light....

I had changed the engine oil for about 800miles... Few days ago, the "Maintance Request"light is flashing when i plug in my key...the light flashes 6 times and then its gone....but the light uses to on until i turn on my car.... does anyone know what is problem with??? Mine is 2007 tc since June 2006. Last time, i used 10w-30 motor oil on it...is that the problem ????? Help help help!!!! Thanks.........

The light you refer to blinks on startup after 4500 miles, and glows steadily after 5000 miles. It works only on mileage, it is not an oil monitoring system. Therefore viscosity has nothing to do with the light.

To reset it, refer to the tC FAQ it has a better explanation than I could give.

to reset:
insert key, click once put lcd reading into ODO not Trip A or B.
turn off ignition and hold the ODO button.
while holding the button turn ignition one click.
there should be 5 bars that appear on the screen keep holding until all 5 bars disappear.
