Help!! MMW header install!!!
ok.. this is for any of you that have installed the MMW header... HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO IT..??? i received it during the week and im starting to install it. im not sure if your suppose to get install instructions but i did not recieve any.. AND they are closed from the 24th to the 26th...so...
but here is my delima... once i get close to to mounting it.. the bottom of the header binds up against the center frame member and the oilpan....it almost seems that if you remove the frame member the header will go in... but i really don;t want to do that unless i HAVE to... but since i no instructions... it is really a guessing game... and id like to either get in installed.. or confirm that there is a fitment issue....
thanks for any help you guys can offer...
update: well.. im going to rack this up to a fitment problem... i still have to talk to them tuersday... but from what i could see... there is no way that the header and s-pipe would come together. correctly if i had managed to get the header on... i set the s-pipe in place to see where it wanted to see the end of the header.. i figured this would tell me if i did have to remove the center frame member...... and it was not even close to where the end of the header would have ended up if i had mounted the header by removing the member......
on the plus side of this ordeal... i did go out and buy a small kit of these... http://www.kd-tools.com/PDF/GEARRAT.PDF ... this make removing that left nut on the exhaust manifold a breeze....... plus the small kit makes it very convenient to have in the storage comparment in back....... i probably paid a premium for it since i went to NAPA autoparts to get it... but well worth the money....
