Default IIP tC and Ford Lightning Details with PC 7424 (Pics no 56k)

These are my first good details of the year with my new Porter Cable 7424 Polisher. I know there has been a lot of questions about this tool so hopefully these links help.

This a link to where I bought my 7424 from.
Amazon Amazon

I also used the following pad kit with the 7424.

Here is some good information on how to use the 7424.

Here are some pic's from last weekends fun. As you can see you can get very good results with simple products if used properly. I'll be upgrading my products soon and see what kind of results can be had. Hopefully you enjoy the pic's and the links.

nice pics. I too have an IIP tC and I just received my 7424. this weekend I plan on using it with some klasse products. I ordered my 7424 from here...

http://www.northwestpowertools.com/polish/7424.htm

$109, no tax and free shipping. if you spend 10-15 minutes googling the web you could save $20 or so.

hmmmmm......those look really good.....but i don't understand dropping the $110 for a 7424 when you can use any random orbital buffer that will cost $15......I've had mine for over 4 years now and it still works like new.....produces what you see in the pictures above.....but i saved $95 bucks doing it......

Very cool link for a better price. I got mine at Amazon for 115.00 free shipping but they keep changing the price. Post some pic's of your IIP after using the Klasse products, I'm thinking about picking some up.

Also the PC 7424 is the best thing I've bought in a long time. Anybody want a POS sears random orbital buffer, I've also been using for years, can't touch the PC for getting a truly perfect finsh with little work.

Good luck to all with their detailing fun.

about 2 weeks ago I used a $30 ryobi buffer. it worked pretty well, but I started reading about the 7424 and decided to give it a try. if the weather's nice tomorrow I'll wash and polish my car with it. then I'll be able to tell you if it's worth the extra money.

btw, I got the Sonus DAS pad kit from autopia.com also. it came with a dvd on using the PC 7424, haven't watched it yet. I'll critique those pads as well when I'm done.

kinda dissappointed here. the disc I thought was a DVD is simply a CD-ROM with all the car care tips available on the autopia website. there's nothing extra that I found.
