instrument cluster ????
Volt Multi Meter......... lol I wasnt looking to "cheat" the milage in any way. I wanted to shave off the cluster and build a HUD unit, I think that would be F'ing wierd but neat at the same time. Im already working on a mold of the upper portion of the dash.
the milage is in the gauge cluster and not in the ECU when you order a new one from toyota they have to program the milage the same i you buy an aftermarket cluster. IT IS ILLEGAL to tamper with the cluster. some car are tracked from toyota and it will tell the mwhat the vehicles accutal milage is and if is deferent than what the OD says you will be in deep sh*t. <----edited for bad language. Becareful, the moderators are watching!
NO IT WILL NOT!!!! I WAS SHOCKED TOOO!....ya see...a while back, i was dumb enough to try to drill through the sides of my cluster to try to paint the lights.....i drilled all the way into it and i neededto order a new cluster from the dealer....
