Leaky radiator already?
I was at the dealership today because my sister works there. They were just looking at my engine just cause and it turns out I have a leaky radiator. I only have 5k miles and have had the car since December. Anyone else experience this issue?
So I get a new one by monday. Good excuse to throw in my low temp thermostat, some water wetter, and a better radiator cap I guess.

I would not recommend a "low" temp thermostat. The computer and emission system is set up to expect a certain operating temp. If it doesn't reach that temp you can cause all sorts of unexpected results. Primary would be lower gas milage because it may still be running richer than it could at a higher temp.
I just put some gauges on my xb and here in FL it gets plenty hot. Even in stop and go city traffic with the ac running, I have yet to hit over 210 F. In more flowing traffic it only runs about 10 to 12 degrees lower.
Just be careful before you leap.

So I shouldn't use it then?
I read on here someone was using one along with the cap and saw a small increase in gas mileage. Around 10%. So 1-2 mpg I assume. Its a TRD Japan on but if it wouldn't be a good idea I could just throw it up on ebay.

I'd have to read the post to see exactly what the product is designed to do. But like I said, you have to be careful not to fool these modern computer controlled syytems as they can cause some problems you weren/t expecting.

Hey Newtmaker!!!
I have to agree with Newtmaker, after checking with my resident auto technician who happens to sleep over every night he concurs. It will cause the computer to throw a code and driveablity probs. Todays cars have so many sensors and computers on them that they can get easily out of whack. My husband diagnoses electrical probs all day long and has told me that ECU's even have vin numbers in them so you can't put used ones in a different car. His stupid vehicle damage manager at work just got burned with this one.
I wouldn't do it, unfortunately manufacturers make claims all the time that are bogus and they cover it up with (FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY)
