OKAY I HAVE HAD MY TC SINCE OCTOBER 7TH OF THIS YEAR
AND WHEN I REACHED 5,000 MILES THE LIGHT CAME ON

IS THIS ONLY BECAUSE I NEED AN OIL CHANGE

YEAH 5 ALREADY , I KNOW ITS BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I GET NERVOUS WHEN ANY LIGHTS COME ON LOL

SOMETIMES I THINK THE MILES ARE TRICKING ME
BUT I HAVE BEEN
TO NEW YORK TWICE , AS WELL AS ATLANTA
I LIVE IN WASHINGTON DC

i have an xA and i clock a little less than 100 highway miles a day

 

Yeah, every 5,000 miles the car "reminds you" that you need to change the oil. The car won't know if it's changed or not. So if you did change the oil just reset the maintenance light.

I believe you turn the car on into the ACC position, then hold down the odometer button while turning the car on for 5 seconds. You should see should see 5 dashes then 4, 3, 2, then 1. Kinda like this... -----, ----, ---, --, -. The maintenance shouldn't come in the next 5,000 miles. If it still does come on, then something is wrong.

Check your manual for the exact way to reset the maintenance light, I'm not sure if the method I described to you was right but it's something like that.
