not using car for 5 months
im deploying overseas to kuwait and wont be using my car for about 5 months, i want to know if i need to do anything to the car before i start it up again when i come back or if i can just turn it on and drive it like normal?
Hum, sorry if you already tried... but do you have anyone you can leave the car with? I mean like relatives or (trustworthy) friends? Then you can just tell them to drive it around once a week or so.
Otherwise, I think that ideally you'll want to drain fluids, and put the entire car on jackstands. I think you'll also want to do something about the battery. I'm not sure what exactly you're supposed to do... but maybe some sort of trickle charger? Although, I don't know what you do for the car's electrical needs.
