when did you guys get your first oil change.. i just hit 1000 today.. and ive had the car for 1 month and 2 weeks.. so i just wanna know at how many miles you guys got your oil change at... thanks.

 

I used one of the free oil changes from Scion (outside of maintenance schedule) to get it changed at about 1500. No real reason... just wanted to do it past the break in period.

I went to my normal schedule after that (every 5k).

Moved to M&CC.

 

I read the manual and it said to change your oil at 5k im at 3k right now and I am going to get my oil changed asap. Im sure that the car dealer ship uses cheap ___ oil so i figure just to be safe I will change it at 3k. I was wondering that myself but I have decided not to wait till 5k make sure they recet your milege other wise it will go off at 4500k.

 

I get free oil changes from my dealership for as long as I own the car. I'm just not to sure about what oil they use. I'm guessing it ain't good though.

 

1000 miles in a month and a half? I got almost 1100 in just three weeks!


The dealer probably uses cheap oil but that doesn't make it bad.
