go to your local gm dealership and pick up a pf1233 oil filter or find a ac delco dealer and pick up that filter if you have the xb

Default .....Yes, interchangeable...

I was just at my dealer on Monday and the parts man said that the yzzf2 and the yzza2 are interchangeable. It is a change in parts numbers only.
I asked for a long filter, instead of the stubby one because there is room for it. It hangs down and nothing is beneith it.

Does anyone know a brand or number for a long XB oil filter?

Just got a case of the YZZF2 on ebay with the drain plug gaskets, $34 with shipping. Looks like there's one left:

I can also use them on my '90 Corolla...........

(1) Don't use Fram. (Fram used to make excellent filters, but in recent years their quality has taken a nose dive. The only thing the newer filters share with the older is orange paint...)

Aside from that, try to use a quality filter that is designed to work with the vehicle's requirements. Toyota filters are recognized by many as some of the worlds finest (this includes race builders running Toyota filters on non-Toyota engines...).

And, of course, the link in the post above...
