Default Ok to use Mobile 1 5w30 in '07?

I know that the 07's call for either 0w20 or 5w20, but will using 5w30 cause any problems?

Has anyone talked to the dealer about it?

Void warranty?

Thanks,
Steve

That post was somewhat helpful. Not exact but close enough. Thanks.

The only reason I was asking was because I have a bunch of 5w30 from before and didn't want to not use it, but I think I am just going to swap it out for 5w20 at Walmart.

I read the thread on the 5w20/0w20 well after I'd bought a case of 5w30. I think I'm down to the last of it in my garage and will continue to use it until I run out. I also have a bit of 5w20 from when I had my Honda Element which will be used when I run out of 5w30. According to that tsb we're clear to use 0w20 so whenever the 5w20 runs out I'll go to that. Just remember that the fact that you're paying attention to your vehicle's oil is a lot more than most people do for their vehicle (ever). It's up to you, but I feel comfortable using the 5w30 for another oil change.

Yes you can use 5w30 in the 07, manual says 5w20 and 0w20 but my dealership put 10w30 in mine on its first oil change They claimed it is better for it out here in the heat, but w/e, they would be paying for the motor if something happened to it that's all I had to say about it. So yeah 5w30 should be ok for atleast one change, the 05+ required that til Toyo put out their TSB to bring it down to 5w20 for them too.
