Default Paint code(s) for Black Sand Pearl

I've seen that the paint code is 202, but my car door says 209. The guy at the dealer said that 202 and 209 both came up when he looked up my VIN #?

I mean, it's black... but does anyone know what/if there is a difference?

Yeah, there is probably a difference. tbblizzard confirmed with me that the Black Sand Pearl on his xA is 209. Is the xB different? hrmm... Can someone else confirm this?

Great color choice! I love how it sparkles in the sun... I need to pick up some touch up paint as well so thanks for the code!

Okay, just checking. There is a FAQ on here about paint codes that says black is 202... it also says that on www.paintscratch.com.

But... since my door said the number was 209, I bought 209 from the dealer. I'm one of those obsessive compulsive hand-rub, polish, and wax kind of people, so there is a tiny nick in the otherwise mirror finish of my door.

Maybe I'll have time to fix it later this week before Scion Exposed... where I'm sure I'll have a ton of chips from the highway.

Not sure what's up with the 202 code, but the xB service manual says its 209. I also got 209 touch up paint and it matched perfectly.

Forget the 202 it might be a different shade for a Toyota or Lexus If it says 209 in the drivers door jam stick with it
