Default Quick oil change question

Where is the oil filter located?

And where is the oil drain plug located?

I couldnt it find it, and the write up for DIY Oil Changes is now missing pics... Do i have to remove the plastic covers underneath the car?

<Slight edit. No offense taken. >

Underneath you'll then see the filter and the oil pan. Don't forget to replace the drain plug gasket. You'll need an oil filter wrench to remove it but only HAND TIGHTEN the new one. Oh, and make sure the engine's cool....or you'll burn yourself. GL!

Should be similar. But just follow the DIY text for the TC.

Yes, you need to remove the plastic cover underneath the engine bay. You'll then see the filter and the oil pan. Don't forget to replace the drain plug gasket. You'll need an oil filter wrench to remove it but only HAND TIGHTEN the new one. Oh, and make sure the engine's cool....or you'll burn yourself. GL!
hey i don't mean to be rude to you, but it's obvious you've never changed the oil on a tC! or even have watched you DO NOT have to remove the plastic covers under the car, EVER! So please don't tell someone information that isn't true.

If the original poster doesn't believe me, get under your car and look! the oil filter and drain plug are on the left side of the car, as you look at the front of the car. very simple.

^^^^ i agree. You've never looked underneath your scion before. Anywayz, Your oil filter and oil pan are right next to each other underneath on the passenger side of you car. No plastic to remove. It's the easiest oil change ever.

... yea. no personal offense to anyone here,

but to perhaps to avoid looking stupid, you guys should at least look underneath the car prior to asking such a question.. or before making statements.

hope everyone got the answers to their questions.
