Review of Mothers claybar & quick detail! GOOD STUFF!
Well I have personally never used claybar on any car I have owned and I am by no means a pro detailer..... Just an average joe car guy
Well down to the skinny. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! Man does this stuff work! I was cringing at useing vinigar and water on my car to remove all the waterspots, but this stuff took care of it for me! Removed all waterspots and left the car looking like it was brand spanking new and I had not even waxed it!! Man I cannot reccomend this stuff any higher. I even used it on my rims that had bad waterspots on them and WOW! Made them look like I just bought them yesterday! Only downside is on my 1 car I used almost the whole bottle of quick detailer which is what you use as lube for the clay. But I can say it was worth every penny. Thanks Mothers!
10 skirts up for this product!
It is the 3rd product down on this page.. Paid around $17.00 for it at checker auto. Worth $500 to me it worked so well! Mothers has a new customer for life.

Nice. Glad to hear you finally try it out! I used it at the beginning of the summer the stuff works great! The detail spray is great even when you're not using it for claying. I keep a bottle along with a few microfiber cloths in my trunk so I can do a quick touch up whenever I see fit. Good stuff!
In late September, I plan to clay again. And I'm gonna be using Meguiar's 3-step system to condition my paint for the coming winter. I can't wait! =D

you don't have to use the "quick detailer" as a lubricant for the clay
we use the clay bar as you wash the car...using the soap as lubricant.....wash the car once and don't rinse... get another mitt full of soap and go to town with the clay
the "detailer" is more expensive than soap right??

That would probably work just dandy also! But since the quick detailer comes with the clay and the directions told me not to use water, it worked out killer
It actually polishes and cleans as you use the clay. Just use a microfiber towel after you clay the area and use the quick detailer for lube and it looks like you just waxed it! "quick detailer has carnuba in it" But of course was it after you are done. Results are STUNNING.

I just used the clay bar for the first time yesterday, followed by the NXT wax. I definitely noticed a difference with how well it cleaned the surface. It is alot of labor though. I'ts a good thing I had all day to work on it yesterday.
Clay bars rock! I do have to agree with TXboxdriver though.....there is no need to use the spray detailer as the lube for claying your car....i am sure that Mothers would love for you to always do that, as they make more money...but the truth is that you dont need to . I use Zaino claybars, but they are all similer. I mix a few capfuls of the car wash soap into a spray bottle with water, and spray that on as a lube. After i am done claying, i rewash and dry the car, then apply the wax/polish. I save the spray detailer for when the car is a bit dusty, or i before i take it to a cruise.

anyways, i don't use the spray that comes with clay bars, i like to use car wash suds, it seems to help the clay move smoother
Have you guys tried the clay with quick detail from mothers..? It moved glass smooth and I did not have to wash the car over again after useing it. That is the point. It actually details while you use it. Looked like I had waxed it after I clayed it! Then of course I went over it with a nice coat of the new turtle wax ice which really worked out well. All my buds are very impressed with the finish.
