review of turtle wax ICE Wax
i've used the ice wax. (i was going to get the detailer also, but i currently have plenty of meg's nxt tech detailer). my car was washed and clayed. a couple of weeks earlier i had applied klasse all in one to get rid of the remaining water marks. followed some nxt tech wax paste to fill the swirls. it was still doing its job decently.
as for the ice wax:
it goes on like water. i apply it with the included foam pad. a little goes a long way. immediatly the surface looks like it was covered with oil.
i let it sit for 10 mins. the package calls for "hazing". i never say any haze, even on parts that i let sit for 30 mins.
anyways, the package also includes a blue microfiber cloth, it's ok quality, like the ones you buy in bulk at target.
removing the ice polish seems easy, you just wipe it away....but heres the catch, you will always miss an area and when night comes by and things cool down, this area(s) will show up. removal can be a pain in the butt, but it's not hard by any means physical. you might need to wipe over the surface a few times to remove all the oily area.
it took me maybe 4 microfiber cloths to remove everything. i like to switch them out frequently (you could get away with removing it all with one cloth)
i also used some of it on the trim around the windows, i think thats painted metal, not sure. also on the black plastic around the mirrors and the antenna
just be sure to keep it off of windows, it smears and leaves a greasy mess.
i wouldn't say it works wonders on hiding swirls, but it does about as good as a job as nxt tech wax does...which isn't bad at all. ICE is not an abrasive like nxt is though, however it does have some paint cleaning properties
as fair as shine goes, it looks awesome, really awesome. it kept the shine for about 3 days, then my car became covered in pollen, so i couldn't tell on the longevity of the shine.

however, i washed my car after having this applied for a week and a half and the shine was still there! woohoo. whats even better is the amazing water beading action, just check it out:

my dog approves.
all in all, it's an awesome shine. it's a little expensive, a couple of bucks more than nxt, making it about $17. i think it's worth it. it goes on so easy and comes off easy, you just need to pay a little attention to getting it all off. granted my car had been prepped with a couple of other things, i still feel that ice is a great synthetic wax.

My dad just used this on his Neon and pickup, i was actually surprised at how good it looks for turtle wax, which ive never liked. My dad was trying really hard to get me out of using Zaino but it didnt work, but it looked like a great alternative.
i applied it again tonight because i had some time to kill. i just don't like the whole buffing process, plus it was staring to get dark so i'm sure i missed a couple of areas.
i'm going to cover over it with some nice carnuba wax to see what happens

That is a really nice shine I have to say.
I haven't tried this stuff yet but what really sounds tempting is the fact that it's clear, I hate the hassle of getting white color waxes out of all the spots around trim etc.
Thanks for the review!
