Rusting brake rotors?
If i leave my tC outside for a few days when its wet and don't drive it, a thin coat of rust starts to form on the brake rotors. once i drive it the pads rub it off, so it doesn't really affect anything, but I was just wondering if it's normal for rotors to do this, and if there's any way to prevent it.

man rust just happens on all rotors, its like a fact of life. Its like that when u buy the car from the dealer brand spanking new. After u drive for awhile the brake pads take it off. completley normal man.........what the hell does wd-40 do to the brakes, im guessing makes it so u cant stop?
The rotors are made of cast iron, which is particularly good for the purpose. They could avoid rust by making the rotors of stainless steel, like they do for motorcycles, but the friction properties would not be as good.
I fixed the problem with a good set of hubcaps!

okay since the other post was locked.. i'll repost my comments here
i think they will be "true" in 40k miles.. the cheap ones are honda.. they actually have a TSB on their rotors. When they get replaced at the dealer, the dealer has to true them up! Unreal.. I have a set of brembos i put on my old civic and never needed anything! You want cheap.. okay I'm going off on Honda.. I just had so much crap with their products in 8 years.. glad to be with toyota and some quality..
