Scion tC Car Cover Question
Sup guys...I'm already considering buying a car cover for my BSP. I need some opinions, suggestions or feedbacks whether I should get the factory car cover or an aftermarket one. I just got my car yesterday and it's just a dust magnet. I heard that the California Duster is pretty good BUT people have mentioned that little particles get stuck in the rug and can scratch your paint. Reason I decided to just get a car cover. Should I get a factory one or an aftermarket one? Pros and Cons on each one would be appreciated. Also a recommended brand if an aftermarket is the way to go. Thanks in advance!
I'm not gonna be much help here, but I just got the factory one for my xB. I paid $150 for it off ebay from a toyota dealer. Its made of 3M evolution material, which from what I can tell is supposed to be pretty good stuff. The aftermarket wasn;t very big when I bought mine, but I did notice that custom covers from respectable websites that used the same 3M material where much more expensive. I say get the factory one. It should fit good, work good, and if you find it from one of the ebay dealers you'll get it pretty cheap.
They are a PITA to put on/off, but it's nice.
It fits perfectly, but is kinda stiff when new.
It takes my whole trunk in the tC to store it, but it will get better as it gets worn-in.
Hard to say. If you don't have a garage, and you want to keep your tC clean, I'd say get it.
I have one tree over my driveway that drops sap, and I need this to keep it looking good.

I'm rather **** about keeping my car looking good and with the erratic florida weather that can sometimes be difficult. That's why I went out and bought a weathershield HD. it costed a pretty penny, but its pretty easy to get on and off, allows ZERO moisture thru, has UV protection, and a soft flannel inside that won't scratch. I store it down in the spare tire area. I took out the right side foam organizer thingy and it fits perfectly down there. well worth the money because it keeps the dew and rain off plus shielding the car from UV rays that will hurt the paint and helps extend my wax jobs.
i got one for sale if u want... how much are the stock ones on ebay? ill give u that price minus the shipping and meet you somewhere... i dont use mine cuz i figured its gonna get swirls anyway.
