Default Scuff marks on my side skirt

Would there be an easy (read: inexpensive) way to remove scuff marks on my side skirts? And since they're pretty deep, I was thinking of actually just getting them repainted, but if I can avoid it, then I'd definitely like to see what you guys would think.

Are they scratched down to the plastic? If the scratches aren't too big, you could try some touch-up paint.

You can try buffing them out, or use touch-up paint as mentioned. Painting them might cost a lot, only for them to get scuffed up again. The way they stick out on these cars, passengers always seem to get them.

Mine are full of scuffs too(xB)
Most are from my girlfriend stomping them out with her high heels. If I repaint them every time I'd go broke. I got the BSP touch-up paint ready to go at all times.

Are you talking about scratches or scuffs?

Scuffs. Like the kind of marks that show up on linoleum kitchen tiles when you wear heavy boots or shoes. I'm able to wash the surface of it off just fine, but the scuffs run pretty deep.

If they're just scuff marks, clay bar should do the trick.

As said, clay might do the trick.

I bought a touch-up "kit" from the dealer ($20) and it comes with a bottle of "scuff magic". I too know the wrath of stilettos, and the magic did an excellent job of them. The scuffs from my rubber sole shoes proved no match for the "scuff magic".

Im sure there is something close to it you can buy outside of the dealer, and it will probably cost half as much and include twice the volume.

I went nuts with the detailing today. I clayed, polished, and waxed (NXT Tech Wax = winner!). I gave the scuffs a real good claying -- I was able to get about 40% of the scuffing out of the side skirt, but there's still quite a bit of remnants. I gott start searching around for something related to that "scuff magic" stuff.

The 3M film would not come pre-cut. Gettng it cut to the exact shape would not be easy. And I found my RockBlocker material too difficult to install on the front end and gave up.

But for the ground effects lips and skirts all round the car, I found truck bedliner spray to work well and I like the looks. It is indestructible, and reduces the blockiness of the box:

heels are evil...

I used goo-gone and NXT... came off perfectly. Needless to say though it's a prone and annoying issue.

I have had great success with paste wax and a few minutes of rubbing.
