Default Tail Pipe Not Centered - Any help?

We had the chrome exhaust tip put on our box's tail pipe...

we can certainly take this back to the dealer, but we are wondeering if it is a big deal to bend the tail pipe maybe 5 degrees so that it is centered in the fender opening.

The tip was installed correctly -- the tail pipe itself is visibly not perfectly centered and needs a very slight bend to correct it.

Can this be done without taking the tailpipe/muffler assembly off and using some kind of mandrel bender?

Is there a manual way of doing this since it's only a very slight bend that needs to be made?

Thanks for any tips.

You can loosen the clamp on the exhaust pipe that is near the axle. You would want to loosen the bolt not the nut. You can then twist the muffler slightly to the left or the right to center the pipe. :D

mine used to hang low and to the left. i tried loosening the clamp and adjusting from there and it worked..... until i saw it the next morning and it was back to low and left. i guess i didnt do it well enough so i took the easy way and zip-tied together the hooks that the rubber hanger holds on to (the hanger by the tip) and made it tighter. its been a few months and cool ever since.

thanks for the tips, I'll give it a try.

I guess there is no way to manually bend the pipe slightly about 12 inches from the tip...

When my xB was delivered and backed off the truck the tailpipe got caught and bent. I noticed it at first but didn't care until I added the TRD Muffler, then it was touching the rear skirt. The dealer tried to adjust it but after 5-6 miles it moved back. They replace the center pipe for the exhaust system under warranty/billed out to freight damage($900 part), fixed , straight , looks great.

My pipe has since moved from when I bought the car and now rubbing on the side. I too was wondering if this can be repaired at the dealer?
