Default tC Paint and its warranty?

i've had my tC for about a week now, and i'm noticing little white imperfections all over the passenger side, as well as a knick or something in the hood from a small rock. could/should the dealer be able to fix these small problems under warranty?

thats a very touchy subject with dealers. they will claim that its waer and tear (which obviously isnt covered) but there are alot to scions with paint problems. mine is starting to get light silver streaks on the hood, kinda like its fading. is anyone else have this probelm? if so pleae post so i can print it out and take it to the dealer so maybe they will do something about it

are these white bits on the passenger side.. i mean have you been able to use some scratch X to see if they come off? and the front end knicks, welcome to that club!! we all have that!.. it's a big flat bumper that is just asking for things to hit it.. a clear 3M bra fixes that.. if you have $300..

i haven't tried scratchx. i might try buffing them out, they seem to not be very deep.

Pretty sure that if you read the warranty that the finish is explicitly not covered by any kind of warranty.

...if the "white spots " appear to be under the clearcoat , then it may be a situation where mositure gets trapped under the protective plastic wrap , used in shipping . this stains the clearcoat .

...take a heat gun and " carefully " , as not to melt the clearcoat , heat the spots...let cool...and look at in sunlight .
...if still there , repeat DO NOT try on bumpers , just metal .

...as far as "chipped " paint , it is not a warranty issue .

I have the clear coat! & its worth every penny!

BUT DON'T WAIT TILL YOU HAVE
TO MANY LITTLE IMPERFECTIONS ON IT!

Paint is a touchy subject~ BUT if you are not sure TAKE IT BACK AND HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT! Don't get a service writer, get the service manager or bodyshop manager involved. They are the ones who need to see it and make their toyota reps aware of the situations!
