Default get it

I got mine and dig it. I hated the shift **** that comes with it, but it has grown on me. Not the coolest looking thing, but it feels good driving.

I don't think they make a TRD short shifter for the xA, only the xB.

I think you are right Back in Black XA. I didn't see a listing for the XA when I was shopping for mine.

I received mine Wednesday and just love it. If you can find a quality piece I would suggest getting it.

How much does the TRD short shifter go for now? I heard the RS Short Shifter from ScionSport.com is a TRD clone. The RS short shifter itself is fine, but the included base is crap. You can swap your stock base with the crappy RS one...or you can get a TWM Performance short shifter...but it's about 3" shorter... Randode has his Pro Shifter....but he's too lazy to get his welder out of storage, and you have to send him your stock shift assembly...

Isn't that the point? Or your saying since your up too high as it is... 3" is too low to shift?

I bought mine from a Toyota dealer posting on E-bay. It was $133 plus shipping. I think the total was $142. I ordered it Sunday evening and it was waiting for me Wednesday night. $133 is a bit high compared to other parts I've seen but I'm tired of getting crap and I have to depend on my shifter.

Just lowering the height of the shifter does not do much for a short shifter. You need to place the pivote point higher on the shifter. Doing that & lowering the height will give much better effects then just making it a shorter shift lever.

I went out and took pics of my TRD short shifter so you can see exactly what it looks like installed. I sat in my normal driving position so you can see what it will look like from a driving point of view. I'm 5' 10".
