Default Water buildup in foglight wiring harness

I noticed this twice and thought I would mention it, JIC.

When I went to change my foglight bulbs, there was a fair amount of water trapped inside the wiring harness for the foglight. The wiring has a protective covering around it and as it dips down from the lamp and back up to where it is connected, it creates a low spot in the covering. Water was getting in there and staying in there. I took a safety pin and careful to not poke a wire, poked a hole in the covering to let it drain. It only seemed to be happening on the drivers side, not the pass.

Maybe not a big deal but it just seems like soaking those wires on water could eventually cause problems...

Things were fine when I installed them. The wiring harness is tucked away and taped up. It wasn't until I went to replace the bulbs with Bright Whites that I noticed the water. It runs down in there now that the wire is extended to the lamp...

In other words, its a post-install problem...

take out your fog light let it sit in the sun for a while till all the moister drys out. and make sure your seal is tight so no water gets into the fog light housing! thats causing moister to build up from the heat of the fog light bulb PM me if anything. :? good luck

Appreciate the response, but its not in the housing, its in the harness.

Mine's handled, just wanted to point it out so someone didn't find a rusty mess later on or something.
