water spots messed up paint.

when you do get rid of your current water spots, go to wal mart and buy a chamois cloth to dry your box after washing it.
i thought my paint was shot because of water spots, I took it to my dealer.
body shop manager showed me that if you simply re-rinse it and dry it off they will go away unless they've been there for a long time.
it's really just a little problem , but it can be easily avoided.

anytime i wash a car i follow these steps to avoid water spots:
1) wash wheels and tires first
2) pre-rinse area to be washed
3) wash area with good soap
4) rinse and mist entire car
you always want to keep car wet until you are able to dry it...and avoid direct sunlight at all costs.

Its probably tree sap (We call it tree sap but its actually Aphid poo, trees don't really drop sap.) - it gets really flat and looks just like a water spot. I'm not really certain if a cleaner wax will take it off (Keep in mind that there are diffrent kind of waxes - Cleaner waxes can remove blemishes and easily cut oxidization.) I knew how to get that stuff off once but forgot.

For those of you who don't live in Southern Calif. ... we have VERY hard water. I mean we practically have rocks coming out of the tap. One good soaking from a sprinkler plus some hot morning sun and you've got a serious problem.
Mine got spotted pretty badly about a month after I got it ... I tried clay bars, cleaner wax, Scratch-X, etc. In desperation I tried dabbing the spots with a solution of distilled water and white vinegar, I think it was about 5 parts water to one part vinegar. Of course rinse it off quickly! That got most of it off but you can still see a faint white ring.

Use a CLAYBAR. Stay away from harsh chemicals.. claybars work great for anything from water spots, to sap, to paint overspray, and everything in between. They'll have your box squeaky clean.
Just remember to put on some Wax or ZAINO after you claybar!

I feel your pain. Friggin sprinklers spotted my Box, I was SOOO ____ed. My wife decided she needed the garage to prepare for a yard sale... It's gonna be a long week.
Mine came off easily, but it was bugging me the whole time they were there.
