ur cars not even a year old, the paint on your car is not even fully cured. do not do it. A simple light wax should be ok. I wouldnt go anything past a wax though. Waxing a car before a year i wouldnt recommend either but you should be ok with that.

You can do it, but I don't recommend it unless you have really bad scratches in the clear coat. Use a DA with 3000 or 4000 trizact.

I've wet sanded my car down 2 or 3 times.

Not trying to offend you but your statements are tragically incorrect. It is a myth that you should not wax your car for the first year and that the paint needs time to "cure".

The paint when you reveive your car is already cured. In fact upon buying a new car what you really should do is a thorough wash, clay bar, polish and wax or sealant.

Just thought I would share.

No need to wet sand.

Invest in a portercable 7424 random orbiter polisher, clay bar kit, polish and wax or sealant and do some research on application and you will obtain the results you are seeking.

Wetsanding is good for certain cases but it does not appear that it would be suitable for your situation.

Well said ^

A simple orbital buff at 1500 RPM and polish after that will do perfect. If your using the porter cable 7424 (www.adamspolishes.com I think the site is for a great price) Will be even better if you have no buffing experience. An Oscillating polisher like that is the best way to start.

If you have no buffing, wetsanding, etc experience you most likely will leave your car at a shop to have it repainted as it is very easy to go through the factory clear coat. The factory puts on a very thin clear coat with a deionized machine at the end of the hose to achieve a cut and buff finish so just FYI.

Listen to him if you want to go the wet sanding rout. Keep in mind if your using a DA with finish film or a such like product... For example if you will be using 3000 grit, its like a 5000 grit finish with a DA (even though im sure theres no such thing as a 5000 grit paper)

I mean 5000 grit paper might exist but I'm sure its called printing paper.

If you want anything higher try silk

But seriously... be careful
