What happens if you dont use a crush washer? Ive changed my oil 3-4 times already and never used a crush washer, I dont think the dealer used one when I got 3 free oil changes.
Never saw one even when I did the first oil change.

what makes you think your dealer didnt use one?
most likely, you may end up loosening the plug via normal road vibration and causing a drip if the washer is worn.
i reuse my washers 3 times before replacing them. never a single drip.

When I did my 1st change, the washer was attached to the pan. Initially, I thought they didnt install one, but upon closer inspection, it was just siezed to the pan.
A double washer is worse than no washer at all.

I've never changed the washers that originally came on my vehicles and never had a problem with the plug loosening while I drive. I put a little wheel bearing grease at the head of the plug and on the washer and never had a leak.
