id say get the napa low jack or the craftsman aluminum jack the chrome and red one not the all red one. expensive but pretty low and good. i'm lookin for one with a a saddle thats lower than 3 inch. like 2.75 or 2.5 will clear all of my cars so. i'm on the look out.

I bought a decent little floor jack at WalMart for about $15. It's low enough to get under and I'm down 2 inches. ALso buy a pair of jackstands. Besides the safety factor, they make it easy to do things to both sides instead of moving the jack back and forth. You only need a 2 ton jack, I haven't seen any smaller than that anyway.

One of the things I thought was funny is that most of the jacks touted a feature to lift the arm all the way up to the jack point with one stroke, but I can't even use it cuz it's already almost there...

I made some wooden ramps out of 2x6s. I double stacked them, angled cut, the bottom piece is 3 feet long, and the top piece is 18 inches long. That way I can fit my 3 ton Napa floor jack under it. I also have four 2-ton jackstands

I am not sure with the xB, but on the tC, there is a jack point front and center of the engine. However, the jack point itself is in the shape of a raised oval. I am not too confident in using that jack point with a standard puck shaped jack. Is there some sort of adapter plate that we can put on our jacks to get more secure connection between the two?
