If so, how long does it take?......

Some dou**bag dumped soda all over my fiance's 3 week old tC....

Does it need to be re-waxed?

SUGGESTIONS?

Thanks,

It was sitting on the car overnight and had a good amount of time to dry and get sticky.....

kidding you??? no..... Some common uses for Coke are:

Clean a toilet bowl. Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl. Let the real thing sit for one hour, then brush and flush clean. The phosphoric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

Remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers. Rubbing the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola will help remove rust spots.

Clean corrosion from car battery terminals. Pour a can of carbonated Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

Loosen a rusted bolt. Applying a cloth soaked in a carbonated soda to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

Clean tarnished pennies. Fill a drinking glass with Coca-Cola and drop in the pennies. Let sit for one hour, then wipe clean with a soft cloth.

Strip paint off metal patio furniture. Cover the spot you wish to strip for one week with a bath towel saturated with Coca-Cola. Add more Coke every day to keep the towel wet. The paint strips right off.

And the list goes on and on.......

coke is pretty acidic. You should just wash and rewax the area as a precaution.

Also, go out and hunt the idiot who did this

ok. i work with auto paints so i should be able to help. im sure youve cleaned it off but if you havent carefully to so in a small spot and see what the paint underneath looks like. if its not pulling up or bubbling go ahead and carefully clean the rest. use mineral spirits if you can get, and lightly wipe it off. it shouldnt hurt it to to bad, but it would be a good idea to let it sit after the soda is removed, then rewax that area or the car if you wish. if it was bad enough tho it coulda eaten the clear coat, but if it was at night, you should be safe.
