Default xB Door Issues

Need some help. My front passenger side door will not open. The details;

1. The lock only comes up half way.
2. The interior door handle feels disconnected.
3. I've tried locking and unlocking using the key and nothing.

I would take the door apart, but I can't get it open, so I can't remove the interior panel.

Ahhhh can you pull the button up by hand? Make sure the door is closed all the way and both the inside and outside handles are not pulled a little - return all the way. There have been some bad door lock solinoids reported here. What year xB do you have?

I have an 06 xB. The interior handle sticks out slightly as though it's pulled, it won't go all the way back in towards the door.

YUP if the door handle is pulled out a little it jams the unlock but locking it again should clear the problem unless there is something jamming the release lever. Check to see if someone tried to break in with a slimjim - check the weather stripping along the base of the window for scratches or chewed up rubber seal or felt. Not sure if taking off the one screw at the inside door release lever will get you access to anything but you might give that a try. Sounds like something is bent in the door linkage.
