Anyone else think it's a little strange that the form you have to fill out asks for your social security number? I'm not giving them that!

I was just wondering that! It might be for the taxes and such that the winners have to pay? But I don't see any reason besides that? With all the identity theft going on, I am a little hesitant about giving out that info!

Any help on this anyone?

Absolutely. Unless I can get some legitimate reason for them needing my SSN, there is NO way they're getting it.

I think when you purchase airline tickets (at least online) they ask for your SSN, so maybe that's why? I found it more odd that they asked for employer name, and the strangest thing to me is that there hasn't been anything formal, just via the forums and the cheesy looking www.scion.com/registration page....

<--still skeptical (but appreciative)

I wish I could bring my box. But the airline won't let me carry on my xb! Oh well, I guess I'll have to look at other people's instead!

Mark me up for registration. And agreeing with fineEGOmaniac, I just wish I could take my box with me. The VIP party should make up for it.

So I just googled "Beyond Marketing Group LLC", and came up with a big fat nothing. Supposedly they are the company handling all the details for this contest.

How do we know this is on the level guys?

Just FYI, I couldn't find ANY info about this contest on the Scion website.

isnt that page part of the site?
if you mean like on the main page, maybe because it is in partnership with this site.

I don't know. The whole thing just seems a little fishy to me. Especially the fact that I can't find jack crap about the company organizing the contest.

I googled it too and came up with nothing! But it does mention Beyond Marketing Group on the Scion site under rules and regulations area (http://www.scion.com/miami/rules.html). I think that it's legit because Scion Corp wouldn't risk getting sued.

I remember when I bought some art off the scion art show, I couldn't find any info online about the auctioning company either. But everything turned out great.

I just wish there was a way to contact this Marketing Group directly with questions about the form? That would be helpful.
